LONG-TERM FINANCING FOR INVESTMENT PROJECTS

Netherlands Investment Institution

Netherlands Investment Institution (NLII) was established to enable institutional investors such as pension funds and insurers to invest directly in the Dutch economy.

The Dutch economy can benefit from wider range of financing sources. Institutional investors can play an important role in addressing this need. Request for individual financing is often too small and too fragmented to qualify as investments for institutional investors. NLII cooperates with the stakeholders involved to develop investments that meet the requirements of these investors.

Loek Sibbing, CEO NLII
"Institutional investors have the capital to make an impact on society. Based on this vision we help make institutional capital available for the Dutch economy."
Loek Sibbing, CEO NLII

Netherlands Investment Institution

The NLII Achtergestelde Leningen fonds (ALF) provides subordinated loans to Dutch SMEs with sound financials and growth prospects but that, in order to be eligible for additional bank financing, need to improve their capital position by attracting more risk capital.

The NLII Bedrijfsleningen Fonds (BLF) works with banks to provide senior loans to Dutch companies under standard lending conditions. By doing so institutional investors create additional financing capacity for Dutch companies.

The NLII Apollo Zorgvastgoed fonds (ZVF) invests in three segments of the healthcare real estate market: assisted living, nursing homes and primary health centres. The fund will own the real estate in which it invests.

NLII study

NLII presents 'Institutional investments in the Netherlands'

NLII has started a study into the investments of institutional investors in the Netherlands. Together with the Dutch Central Bank (DNB), NLII compiled a "snapshot" of the current investment portfolio of Dutch pension funds and insurers. This includes a detailed investment overview with a geographical breakdown by asset class.
